VI Peel Chemical Peel

The VI peel is a medium depth medical grade peel that helps with pigmentation issues, such as sun damage and melasma, and helps to improve the texture of your skin and improve signs of aging. The peeling process usually starts at day 3, with most of the peeling occurring between days 3-7. This is another treatment that should be done in a series for best results. Your skin will thank you.

FAQ’s

Are Chemical Peels Safe?

Yes! Chemical peels are safe for all skin types and conditions.

How do I know if I need a Chemical Peel?

Think of a Chemical Peel like an oil change. You have to change the oil in your car to keep it up and running! Chemical peels should be looked at the same way. Chemical peels help to improve skin texture and tone, combat acne, acne scarring and pigment disorders, and also require maintenance, just like the oil in your car!

What kind of Chemical peel do you use?

At Pure Youth Wellness & Aesthetics, we use the VI Peel for our chemical peel. They offer 6 different types of peels to help target different needs and conditions of the skin. The line of VI peels are medium-depth, medical-grade chemical peels that will leave your skin refreshed and glowing.

How do I know what kind of Chemical Peel I need?

A thorough evaluation with your provider will determine what peel will be best based on your evaluation of your skins needs.

How long is the average appointment for a Chemical Peel?

Chemical Peels do not take long. You can plan for a 30-minute appointment time.

Do Chemical Peels hurt?

No. You may experience a mild sensation of tingling at time of application, but this is normal and subsides. This is a chemical peel, so once your skin starts to lift, you may have some irritation and itching that occurs, which is normal.

What is the downtime when receiving a Chemical Peel?

This is a procedure that does require a little planning. The peeling process usually begins around day 3 after the chemical peel was applied, and last up to 7-10 days. You will not want to sweat, swim, or sunbathe during this time, and exercise can be resumes after 3-4 days.
